Parasomnis is the story that explains, in a fragmented way, the remains of dreams produced by medical sedation effects. An awakening of an induced coma is never sudden, many fragments of dreams are mixed into the new reality by sedation. The situation is a very embarrassing shock, obsessively trying to reconstruct the true reality. The different pages of the book reconstruct dreams that mix situations lived at different times in the past and adding “real” situations during the stay in the medical environment of the ICU where I lived with other patients and the entire medical team who left a comforting footprint.
The images of the book correspond to an interpretation of each of the dream fragments and are formed by two parts. The backdrops are composed of patterns which repeat either the same image, or landscape. As forms appear they recreate situations in relation to the story and others which interpret multiple mental states.
